1 cup of hot water (or hot milk of your choice)

2 heaping tablespoons of powdered cacao*

Stevia to taste (a little goes a long way)

Optional Ingredients:

1 tablespoon of organic grass-fed butter, ghee, or cold-pressed coconut oil

1/2 scoop of powdered greens in Chocolate flavor (I like Amazing Grass brand)

1/4 scoop of powdered collagen peptides (I like Vital Proteins brand)

*Cacao differs from cocoa in that cocoa has been processed with high heat. They both come from the same tree seeds and are both beneficial, but raw cacao does retain a bit more nutrition than cocoa. Always look for cacao and cocoa that has been sustainably sourced.

Cacao is a good source of dietary magnesium and iron and has anti-inflammatory properties.

Mix all ingredients in a blender or mixer and whip on high for 30 seconds to 1 minute or until frothy. Alternatively, hand whip it vigorously with a whisk for a minute or two.

Enjoy hot!
